Cystic Acne

Conditions: The harshest and the most painful form of acne is called Cystic Acne, the infection is very painful, and the infection cannot becured overnight. Cysts are formed and swollen pus filled red pustules are visible on the external surface of the skin.
Symptoms: Hormonal changes or imbalances and collectionof dirt on the skin are some of the prime causes. Skin Care Experts claim that many times Acne is hereditary. A person can experience an acne breakout at any age; however, ithas been observed that the majority of acne infected individuals are teenagers. Acne after the age of 30 or more is referred to as Adult Acne.
Treatment: It should be kept inmind that breakout of acne is a temporary phase, and therefore should not be disturbed. Often people tend to squeeze the pus filled pustules to get rid of the pus that makesthe skin look ugly, and end up developing a permanent scar on the skin. Bleeding can also start if the pimples are scratched or pricked too often.
Products: The scar removalcreams and lotions are easily available over the counter in the medical and pharmacy stores. Some of these products include Proactive, Neutrogena, and Clean & Clear.
Sometimespits are also formed on the skin because of squeezing the pustules. These pits are permanent, and are impossible to get rid of unless the individual decides to go for acosmetic surgery.
Prognosis for Acne: Although acne is not a serious health threat, severe or cystic acne can lead to disfiguring, permanent scarring, which can be upsetting topeople who are affected by the disorder.Usually resolves but may last into adulthood.
