February 8th to 12th | GOAL: Students will be able to identify the grammar categories and to improve their own writing and reading skills, applying the relationship among those elements in a logical writing.Routine: students look somepictures related to Saint Valentine´s day, then they have to make a description a propos t this topic and write about the quote of Plato ”At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet”. * Students organize and stand in their respective learning cooperative group, and then students listen to a song in order to identify some familiar words. Teacher presses play to hear the song three times and thenstudents write words that they understand of it. After that, a student of the each group goes to the board to write words that they have understood. * Students see the words on the board and listen to again the song; teacher gives them the lyrics to the song in order to complete the missing words. They repeat and try to sing alone. * Students write the missing words in the notebook to fill in thesong, then, teacher draws up a chart including the different grammar categories as: nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions and interjections. * Students should classify the previous words into these boxes and look for the meaning in the dictionary to have better comprehension of the topic. * Finally students listen to again the song and sing it.Homework: Withsome words from the song, students should write a brief text related to the St. Valentines day, they can do a creative message, card, or a poem. February 15th to 19th | GOAL: Students will be able to identify the grammar categories and to improve their own writing and reading skills, applying the relationship among those elements in a logical writing, and also they will beable to follow instructions in order to have more concentration and pay attention in the aid to do works in equipment, learn to collaborate and to express themselves with the companions. Routine: students look at the tongue twister then they try to repeat it, according to the pronunciation of the teacher. Next they participate by repeating and doing some movements that teacher indicatesthem. * Students arrive to the classroom and teacher gives them a piece of paper of different color in order to organize 8 groups of 5 persons to work in activity about the grammar categories from the previous Song. * Before that, the students choose from a bag a piece of paper which contains 2 questions related with the text left the last week, they have to answer them. The questions proposedare: 1. When and where did St Valentine live? 2. Who was the emperor at that time? 3. Did St. Valentine like him? 4. What did St. Valentine do? What was his job? 5. Why didn’t Claudius like men to get married? 6. Why was St Valentine caught and put into prison? 7. What was the punishment that the Emperor ordered for him? 8. Who visited him when he was in jail? 9. When did StValentine write a note? 10. Who did he write the note to? 11. Why did he write it? 12. When did St Valentine die? 13. Why is St Valentine a symbol of Love?; Students have to give 3 examples about each grammar category studied in the previous classes and also they will give a synonym of some words from the text.
