The Aloe Barbadensis Miller, Aloe saponaria, Aloe Ferox and Aloe arborescens, are varieties of the more than 360 known species of aloes.

Botanical Description of Aloe
Inhabits desert or semidesert although his preferredmedium is the mild climate with little rainfall.

Aloe is a genus in the subfamily of the Liliaceae Asfodeloides. From a technical standpoint, Aloe can be defined as an evergreen plant, which can reachup to six meters tall (depending on variety), with long leaves with pointed and fleshy arranged in a rosette, with rib straight and grooved.

It has a variable number of spines, especially on theedges. It can withstand water stress up to 90 days.

Reaches its maturity and can be harvested between 14 and 24 months depending on the variety.

The Aloe
Aloe is a small herbaceous perennial,succulent-looking, and with shallow root system.

The rhizome is long and the stem is short, around which are grouped a rosette of leaves. Its size can vary from 30 cm. up to 3 m. depending on thevariety.

In the Barbadensis Miller produces leaves finely lanceolate, 30-60 cm long, turgid, green, spiny-toothed margins separated.

The Aloe Saponaria produces thick and succulent leaves in arosette that gives it a distinctive appearance. Mature leaves have completed their growth are grayish green to dirty white round base with a broad, flat top surface.
