The Start Menu and the File menu have been replaced with a round Home button. Use this to find options like All Programs, Control Panel, or Save As and Print. Personalizethe File Menu Quick Access Bar to add frequently used functions. To do this, click on the File Menu Round button, choose options, customize.

Searching has never been easier.
It’s now quicker and easier to get to files, emails, features – anything you’re looking for. Just press on yourKeyboard (or click the Start Button) and start typing.
Can’t find that 2010 Budget spreadsheet? Type “2010 Budget” and you’ll immediately see all the documents and emails related to it, no matter whatfolder they are stored in.

There’s a new way to install applications.
With this version of Windows comes a new way to install applications.
1. Click the Home button and go to Control Panel.2. Choose “Run Advertised Programs”
3. You will find a list of Ecolab-standard applications available to install. Just select what you’re looking for and click “Run.”
4. If you don’t see whatyou’re looking for, fill out a Standards Exception Form at http://servicedesk.ecolab.com/standards

Hovering is the new clicking.
Windows 7 makes extensive use of hovering. Do you have multipleitems open on the taskbar? Hover your mouse over them to see a preview of what’s inside!
Need to see your desktop? Hover your mouse over the bottom-right corner of your screen to see a preview ofit. You’ll find other places you can hover as well.
