Get a Database Management Program for Real Estate.
Enter all of my contacts, by type, into myDatabase and set up a monthly schedule of contacting them (every member of every organization, friends, and even my family).
Join NAR , State and local Boards and get active.
Join the Chamber of Commerceand get on a committee immediately.
Join at least one more civic organization and get active with them immediately.
Incorporate.
Pick my market area carefully, based upon what is moving at the timeand add to it later.
Research everything about my market area and create a database of every property owner.
Drive the streets of my market area regularly. Know everything about my market area.Sounds expensive doesn't it? It is. Most of us try to get into business without spending a dime, maybe that's possible, but if you want to make the big bucks, you had better be able to fund yourbusiness while you build your clientele. If I were starting over...I'd be a lot more realistic about time and money.
