INTRODUCTION
LemnaTec scanalyzer3D systems open new prospects for the quantitative,non-destructive analysis of different crops or model plants under high-throughput conditions. Each plant is imaged sequentially in multiple scanalyzer3D camera units, employing different wavelengths that reachfar beyond human vision. The result is an unprecedented number of reproducible and significant data points on any aspect of plant development.
ACTIVITIES
Answer the followingquestions:
1. How the scanalyzer works?
Each plant is imaged sequentially in multiple scanalyzer3d camera units, employing different wavelengths that reach far
beyond human vision. Theresult is an unprecedented number of reproducible and significant data points on any aspect of
plant development. Data will be collected continuously and recorded in one snapshot per run throughthe -scanalyzer3d, thus
routinely producing 15 or more images and several hundred data points per plant and run. Plants are imaged in multiple runs
throughout their entire life cycle.
2. What kinds of data give the scanalyzer?
The result is an unprecedented number of reproducible andsignificant data points on any aspect of plant development.
3. What kinds of parameters the scanalyzer measured?
• Leaf area
• Chlorophyll content
• Stem diameter
• Plant height /width
• Growth rate
• Stress pigment concentration
• Tip burn
• Biomass
• Internod lenght
• Color
• Leaf rolling
• Leaf tracking over time
