1. Products of the four stages:
a. Glycolysis: 2 ATP’s, 2 NADH+, and 2 Pyruvates
b. Link Reaction: CO2, NADH + H+, Acetyl CoA
c. Kreb’s Cycle: 2 CO2, 3 NADH + H+, 1 FADH2, 1 ATP
d.Oxidative Phosphorylation:
* Electron Transport Chain: ATP, oxidized NAD+ ions, and H2O
* Chemiosmosis: ATP

2. Glycolsis: The first part is that two phosphates are removed from the ATP'S,and are added to the glucose molecule. Then, this is split by lysis and creates hexose bisphosphate. After this, the hydrogens are removed of the hexose biphosphate and added to NAD, and also thephosphates are returned to the ADP's to form ATPS. What is left of the hexose biphosphate are now to pyruvates, making the products of glycolisis to be: 2 ATPS (net yield of two), 2 pyruvates and 2 NADH+3. Function of NAD: The function of the NAD results in being joined with the hydrogens, in order to produce NADH+. These H+ are passed on and are then used to produce energy after energy hasbeen produced in the electron transport chain and the H+ stay in the inter membrane.

4. Oxidative Phosphorylation is divided into two: electron transport chain and chemiosmosis.
ElectronTransport Chain:
Consists of a collection of molecules embedded in the inner membrane of the mitochondrion. The cristae (foldings) increase surface area and provide space for many molecules of the chain.These molecules are proteins that contain prosthetic groups (non protein components) essential for the catalytic functions of certain enyzmes. Electrons removed from NADH are transferred to the firstmolecule of the electron transport chain (flavoprotein). The flavoprotein returns to its oxidized form as it passes electrons to an iron sulfur protein. The iron sulfur protein passes the electrons toa compound called ubiquinone (Q complex). The remaining electron carriers between the Q complex and oxygen are proteins called cytochromes.

Oxidative Phosphorylation:
The last cytochrome of the...
