The English descends from the language that spoke the germanic tribes who migrated than today it is the north of Germany (andpart of Denmark) to the Earth that would be to know itself like England. These tribes are identified traditionally with the Frisian, anglian names of, sajones and jutos. Its language denominates sajón old or old under German. According to the British Chronicle, around year 449, Vortigern, king of the British Islands, extended an invitation to anglian ones directed by Hengest and Horsa so that theyhelped him against the pictos. In return, to the anglian ones earth in the south-east would be granted to them. More aid looked for, and in answer they went anglian, sajones and jutos. The chronicle documents the subsequent arrival of “colonists”, that finally established seven kingdoms: Northumbria, Mercia, Eastern Anglia, Kent, Essex, Sussex and Wessex.
