Bullying is an unwanted, aggressive behavior attitude among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated,over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems, and both are victims of bullyng because of the concecuences that bullyng carries on.
In order to beconsidered bullying, the behavior must be aggressive and it includes:
• An Imbalance of Power: Kids who bully use their power such as physical strength, access to embarrassing information, orpopularity to control or harm others. Power imbalances can change over time and in different situations, even if they involve the same people.
• Repetition: Bullying behaviors happen more thanonce or have the potential to happen more than once.
Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from agroup on purpose.
Also bullyng became a livestyle to many young people and some kids that practice it frecuently and it became a normal activity, what bullers dosn´t know is that bullyng cause harmand distress or fear.
Recent studies shows that bullying perpetration in year 10 is associated with an increased likelihood of theft, violent behaviour and binge drinking.
When bullyingcontinues and a school does not take action, the entire school climate and culture can be negatively affected. This impacts on student learning and engagement, staff retention and satisfaction andparental confidence in the school
There are so many changes when bullyn is present in a children or young, in the mood, behaviour and physical appearance can all be warning signs of being bullied,however, some students may not display any warning signs at all.
We are the only responsables and we are who can change this practice that affects to all of us, our children and also adult people
