Steps done:
1. Apply OSS note 812821 with SNOTE

2. Apply Manually the OSS Note 1082880
If your Windows XP PC is equipped with all font files required for SWINCF (see below), you can follow these instructions to enable correct font upload even without a program fix:
List of Windows Fontfiles required byRSCPSETCASCADINGFONTS for SWINCF:arial.ttf, arialbd.ttf, arialbi.ttf, ariali.ttf, cour.ttf, courbd.ttf, courbi.ttf, couri.ttf, times.ttf, timesbd.ttf, timesbi.ttf, timesi.ttf, ANGSA.TTF, ANGSAB.TTF, ANGSAI.TTF, ANGSAZ.TTF, ARIALUNI.TTF, simhei.ttf, SIMSUN.TTF, batang.ttc, mingliu.ttc, msmincho.ttc, msgothic.ttc, gulim.ttc
A) Create a directory on your PC to hold a temporary copy of Windows fonts,e.g. c:\temp\fdir\
B) From Windows XP's font directory (normally "C:\Windows\Fonts"), copy all Windows fonts into your new directory.

C) In your new directory, if you have no font "SIMSUN.TTF" but a font "SIMSUN.TTC", rename SIMSUN.TTC to SIMSUN.TTF
D) Now run RSCPSETCASCADINGFONTS, "Full Settings"

Use menu function Fonts->Upload Fonts. This displays a list of currently registered Windowsfonts.
Use Button "WinFonts" to bring up a font directory input field:

Here, enter the temporary directory you just created, which holds the copies of Windows fonts, e.g.
C:\TEMP\FONTS\

Hit "save" and now, if all required fonts are found in the directory, the font upload should commence without any error message. The process is executed in background, so you should wait until thebackground process finish prior to been able to see the fonts.
Please note that this procedure is necessary to extract the character widths from the TrueType fonts, the uploaded fonts are not used for actual printing!

3. Apply Note the OSS Note 940429
We have the right support package, so we do not need implement this one
4. OSS notes 873239 and 1138099 for the required kernel patch levels.We have a bigger kernel patch.

There are four device types:
SWINCF, Japanese font for Han Script
SWINCFC, Simplified Chinese font for Han Script
SWINCFT, Traditional Chinese font for Han Script
SWINCFK, Korean font for Han Script .
When SWINCF(*) device types are not available in your system yet, you can also uploaddevice types attached to this note to your system via transaction SPAD (SPAD > Menu Utilities for device types > Import).

Please also apply the correction instructions attached to this note before upload the device type.

When you upload the device types, you will be asked for a transport request. Assign the objects to package 'SPOO'.


In transaction SE09, you can see underthe transport request, there should be something like R3TR PRIN , R3TR TABU CFONT_INFO with Table Key * and R3TR TABU CFUNICODE_BLOCK with Table Key*.
Repeat these steps for the four devices.

5. OSS Note 999712 - PDF conversion for Unicode

When PDFUC device types is not available in your system yet, you can also upload device types attached to this note to your system viatransaction SPAD (SPAD > Menu Utilities for device types > Import).

Please also apply the correction instructions attached to this note before upload the device type.

When you upload the device type, you will be asked for a transport request. Assign the objects to package 'SPOO'.


In transaction SE09, you can see under the transport request, there should be something like R3TR PRIN ,R3TR TABU CFONT_INFO with Table Key * and R3TR TABU CFUNICODE_BLOCK with Table Key*.

5.1. How to install TrueType Fonts for Cascading Fonts Unicode PDF conversion
If you want to use TrueType Fonts (TTF) for the Cascading Fonts Unicode PDF conversion,
open SE38 and run report RSTXPDF2UC. On the entrance screen you have the following options:
