Cheerleading is a physical activity, sometimes a competitive sport, based on organized routines, usually rangingfrom one to three minutes, which contain the components of tumbling, dance, jumps, cheers, and stunting to direct spectators of events to cheer on sports teams at games or to participate incompetitions. The athlete involved is called a cheerleader

The graduate for Princeton Thomas Peebles introduced the idea of theanimation to encourage the public of the University of Minnesota. Nevertheless it was not until 1898 that Johnny Campbell, student of Minnesota directed the multitude singing " Rah, Rah, Rah! Sku-u-mar,Hoo-Rah! Hoo-Rah! Varsity! Varsity! Varsity, Minn-e-So-Tah! ", playing the role of Campbell the first entertainer on November 2, 1898. This one was an attempt of doing that the fans were encouraginghis equipment in the sports competitions. Though at present it thinks that about 90 % of the entertainers is women, the animation began as a typically masculine activity. As the practice wasspreading, it was turning into a feminine practice. An important factor in order that this happened this way was the scanty availability of sports for women.
