De acuerdo con su origen:
• Artificiales, aquellos construidos o desarrollados
por el esfuerzo humano, generalmente prismaticos
• Naturales, incluyen todos los cursos de manera
natural que existe en la tierra

DISCUSION DEL VALOR DE COEFICIENTE DE RUGOSIDAD “n” AEMPLEAR EN LA FORMULA DE MANNING
Existen 2 casos
• Determinar el caudal en un curso de agua es necesario
estimar el valor de la rugosidad n.
• Dado un problema de diseno , hay que determinar la
rugosidad n del revestimiento que se asigna.
El valor de la rugosidad depende esencialmente pero no
exclusivamente de la aspereza de la superficie, interviene
tambien:
FACTORES QUE AFECTAN ELVALOR DE RUGOSIDAD DE MANNING
• Vegetación
• Curvas
• Irregularidades
• Tirante
MANERAS DE DETERMINAR EL VALOR DEL “n” DE MANNING
• Mediante tablas (recopilada de diferentes fuentes
por Ven Te Chow).
• Por fotos de canales estudiados (Recopilado de
diferentes fuentes asi como del U.S. Geological
Survey).
• Por Metodos o formulas planteadas por diferentes
investigadores
