Cloning
Many people are upset and afraid with the scientific field because they started to develop the human, animal and plant cloning. Therefore, they are protesting and they areagainst cloning. This people think this way because they do not know what benefits this project offers. Any one who is interested and has doubts of cloning since the term cloning is going to be fundamental to most living things, since the body cells of plants and animals are clones ultimately derived from the mitosis of a single fertilized egg. Cloning is going to become a very important factor ofour lives eventually. There are so many possibilities advantages and disadvantages in cloning human, animals, and plants. People have to notice the many good things of cloning can help our lives such as prevent diseases repair damaged cells etc.
The topic cloning came to the fore in March (1997) when Dr. Wilmot announces that Dolly the sheep had been born at the Roslyn Institute in Scotland. Thesheep was a clone genetically identical to her cell donor. What is cloning? A clone is a group of genetically identical cells. For example, tumors are clones of cells inside an organism because they consist of many replicas of one mutated cell. Another type of clone occurs inside a cell. A clone made up of groups of identical structures that contain geneticCardenas 2
materials, such as mitochondria and chloroplasts. Some of these structures, called plasmids, found in some bacteria and yeasts. During the latter stage stages of the 20th century, man harnessed the power of the atom, and no long after, soon realized, power of genes. More narrowly, a clone candefine as individual organism that grown from a single body cell of its parent and is the genetically identical to it.
There are some benefits by cloning humans being as most of the diseases could prevent by detecting people is genetically prone to certain hereditary disease. In addition, infectious diseases can treat by implanting genes that code for antiviral prloteins specific to each antigen.Another, benefit is we the can fix damaged cells and grow new cells. The cells can be repair themselves by growing brand new muscle cells. For example, researchers suggest doctors may fix hopelessly damaged hearts. Here are more cloning benefits, the Capability to create humans with identical gene make up, studying cell difference, and sterile couple will be able to have children with the parent’sgenes. According to James Ryan said the facilities were open in August (1999) for infertile couple. They expect around 500 baby human clones a year. Human cloning is a bioethical issue. While human cloning involves many stakeholders. Such as scientists to continue experimenting, with cells donors and volunteers that want to have the embryo implanted in them. Many people think that if you clone ahuman organ or cell that you will have a brand new organ or cell it will solve. Here are more advantage of cloning a human, allow parents of a young child fatally injured to clone should be enough cells recovered from the body. It might help combat genetic diseases by allowing researches to turn off bad genes and turn on good genes. Grow organs intended for transplant therapy, and aid infertilepeople.
The cloning of plants has many applications, not only to agriculture but to medicine as well. Herbicide resistant crops, earlier delayed fruits ripening, longer lasting fruit and higher yields of crops can be and have achieved through cloning. In addition, the plants have some benefits from cloning. For example, plants that are able to prop age by asexual means produce genetically...
