Napoleon:
Napoleon Bonaparte was born on 15 August 1769 in Corsica into gentry
family. He proclaimed the emancipation of the Jews in the Italian states which
he had established, andthe majority of the Jews in Italy hailed Napoleon as a
liberator and political savior, calling him "Ḥelek Tov" (Good Part). In 1799
Napoleon crowned himself as Emperor. In the next ten years he
built up the armies for the French empire and turned them against every
European country. From 1804 to 1812, he successfully fought battles against
the forces of the greatest European powers. In1812, Napoleon invaded Russia,
this event is what led his own Downfall. The defeat of the Grand Army by the
Russian winter was one of the biggest losses for France. In 1813, Russia,
Britain, Austria, and Prussia defeated France in the battle of Leipzig. Napoleon
died in 1821.

Adolf Hitler:
Adolf Hitler was born on 20th April 1889, in the small Austrian town of
Braunau near theGerman border. During World War I Hitler
volunteered for the German Army. In 1919, Hitler was invited to join to
the German Worker's Party, later called National Socialist German
Workers Party, and even later called the Nazi Party. In 1921, Hitler
became the leader of the party. Hitler gained a majority of votes
at the last "democratic" elections held in Germany on 5 March
1933. In1935, Hitler began increasing the power of the navy
and army. On 1 September 1939 German armies invaded
Poland and that is how Hitler started World War II. During this
era, Hitler killed more than 6 million of Jews (Holocaust) in
concentration Camps. On April 1945, Hitler committed suicide by shooting
himself, he knew that he had lost the war.
