Self Assessment 2
I would describe Critical Thinking as good thinking, almost the opposite of illogical, irrational, thinking. Critical Thinkingallows one to make more educated decisions about life rather than quick decisions. The role of Critical Thinking is, I think, to make people think more logical, and allows them to think twice beforemaking a decision or saying something. The most valuable portion of the course for me were the discussions we had in class because I learned to give a better opinion as more logical, and thesediscussions taught me to listen to others more and learned from their opinions things that I did not know. On the other hand, I think every part of the class was valuable because I learned from all of it.However, I wish that we had spent a little bit more time in Arguments, inductive and deductive, because I feel that I get confused between the differences of those two arguments. When I have to getto the conclusion where I have to define if it is a deductive or an inductive argument I still have doubts.
Before when I was to make a decision, or to give a opinion I will just do it withoutthinking twice or what would that outcome be to the person I was telling. Now, after taking this class I have learned to think twice, and think more about what I am about to say, first if it understandableor if it would hurt anyone in any way. The things that get in my way of Critical Thinker is that sometimes when I am about to say a intelligible answer, I doubt it and I end up not saying it becauseI think it is unintelligent and everyone else will laugh at it.
I set out at the beginning of this class that I will try to learn the most out of it because for other classes ‘I had to take’ I willjust try to pass it, but this class I wanted to learn a lot because never before I was in a class like this one. Honestly, I have to say I have learned so much from this class. As I have said...
