“Cry Freedom”

Chapter 6-7
1) in chapter six blacks man started to work at the Daily Dispatch, that event tell me that Woods started to have his own black society.
2) At the beginning of the footballmatch Biko say to the crownd “this is the biggest illegal meeting i have ever seen”
3) The police find out that Biko was at the football match because a informer tell his.
4) Biko wasarrested because he were out of his banning area, talking to a crowd.
5) Biko wanted to be treating with respect, as if he were a white person.
6) They were going to catch him and kill him.
7)Was a trial because two years before two students organizations had arranged a large meeting in support of the new government in Mozambique.The South African Government banned the meeting and arresteda group of Black Consciousness leaders who were helping to organize it.
8) Biko is talking about violence, about police beating people, police shooting people, police beating people, about peoplestarving in the township, about desperate, hopeless people. Confrontation means for biko that they can progress without violence.
9) Biko said that Black people must find ways to develop hope.Hope for themselves, hope for this country. “That is the whole point of Black consciuness- to build within ourselves a sense of our own humanity, our proper place in the world..”
Chapter 8.1) Print Biko’s words was against the law because he is a banned person. Woods said that many newspaper had used Biko’s words, so Woods was sure that the government would not attack one particularnewspaper.
