1. QUESTION 1. Given the decision to introduce the "complete meal" product and advertise it according to the plan, how much better or worse off was the firm by producing and selling 30 tons at aretail price of Cr. 8.20?

Financial Proposition |
Consumer Price | 8.20 |
Total Revenue | 171,600.00 |
Cost per unit | 5.42 |
Profit per unit | 0.30 |
Tons (x1000) | 30,000.00 |
TotalProfit | 9,000.00 |

Considering the financial proposition, selling 30 tons of the new meal total profit after costs and taxes, revenue is calculated as Cr. 9,000. Taking into account the salesforecast the marketing team was considering in the new meal sales, this profit could have grown much more after selling more than 30 tons of new meals.

Consumer Price | 6.85 |
Total Sale | 143,400.00 |
Cost per unit | 4.64 |
Profit | 0.14 |
Tons (x1000) | 30,000.00 |
Total Profit | 4,200.00 |
MKT Proposition 2 |Consumer Price | 6.85 |
Total Sale | 143,400.00 |
Cost per unit | 4.64 |
Profit | 0.14 |
Tons (x1000) | 85,000.00 |
Total Profit | 11,900.00 |

In this case, there were two alternatives, selling the same amount as the financial proposition would have given less than 50% of profit as with the 8.20 per meal. However, selling as it was forecasted in sales, revenue could be almost 12,000for the 85 tons of meals sold.

Financial Proposition |Incremental Profits | 70,200.00 |
Incremental Costs | 65,100.00 |
Total Incremental profit | 5,100.00 |

With this first table, we can see that the financial proposition, V/S the standard pack sale,...
