Didactic:
The didactic is a discipline, considered as an art or as a science; it depends on how you want to describe it. It could be an art if we talk about the intellectual capability of anyteacher to be a didactic teacher, he has to have an amount of special skills that will make him able to transmit the information by a didactic way; it is a science if the perspective is given from the wholeprocess that didactic involves, that is all of the concepts, ideas, thesis, and procedure that gives as result the didactic, the scientific approach gives the definition of didactic as: “The sciencethat studies the teaching-learning phenomena in its prescriptive way of efficient methods”
Didactic material:
Didactic materials are all kind of material or resources used by the teacher in classand it´s an essential part of the learning process (they could be physical objects or not), they are used by the teacher´s own creative way to improve the learning of the students. The didactic materialis just an auxiliary for the teacher and for the whole schoolwork to get an effective result.
Is important to have a clear meaning of what the didactic material is and its difference withaudiovisual material because they are frequently confused and they are not the same. Didactic material is a resource that helps the teacher to explain and represent to the students the information, it´s usedwith the propose of turning the information into real knowledge, it involves his own mental process to get to it; audiovisual material is the material given from the teacher or instructor that couldbring the idea or the information already represented and it doesn’t involve any kind of mental process from the learner to get to the information, audiovisual material is a part of the didacticmaterial, but it´s not a synonymous.
