1. Purpose. This manualprovides guidance for designing reinforced concrete
hydraulic structures by the strength-design method.
Plain concrete and
prestressed concrete are not covered in this manual.
2.
Applicability.
This manual applies to all HQUSACE/OCE elements, major
subordinate commands, districts, laboratories, and field operating activities
having civil works responsibilities.
