2. Hotel facilities and amenities need some help.

Guest: I need to check my e-mail. Is there an Internet café near here? 
Staff: Certainly, sir. The Business Centre at the hotel has Internet access. 
Guest: Can I also surf the Internet there? I need to find some information for a meeting. 
Staff: Absolutely sir. 
Guest: Can I also save information to a disk or flashmemory? 
Staff: Of course. 
Guest: Do you know what it cost? 
Staff: To be honest sir, I don’t really know. But I’m sure it’s a nominal fee. 
Guest: Ok, thank you. 
Staff: My pleasure, sir. 

2. TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE
2.1.DIALOGUE:
A: Good evening, What can I do for you , madam?
B: Could you tell me how long it takes to get to the airport?
A:Would that be by taxi or publictransport?
B: Oh, the flight´s not till 6 o´clock, so I´ve probably got time to take the bus.
A: anything else?
B: Yes, please I need a map of the city
A: of course, here you are. We are here( pointed on the map)
From here you can visit the Cathedral, the new park and some commercial galleries.

B: All right , thank you very much.
A : it´s a pleasure, madam.

2.2.Reception desk. Hello.
- Hello.I would like to order breakfast in my room.
- Certainly, madam. What would you like to have?
- I would like white coffee, a chocolate muffin, and a roll of bread.
- All right. I will have it sent up to you right away.
- Thanks. Could you please send me the newspaper too?
- Of course, madam.
- Thank you, sir. And I would also like to have my clothes ironed for tomorrow.
- Certainly, madam.The maid will go and pick them up immediately. Can I do anything else for you?
- That's all, thank you.
- Thank you, madam. Have a nice day!

2.3. A GUIDE WITH SOME TOURIST
DIALOGUE: (A guide is giving an explanation to some tourist about a castle)
Guide: This castle is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. Today is used for Top-level conferences. In 1170 Thomas Beckett was murderedby The Knights of Henry II. The first drop –off is around 6.15 p.m and the fares are 38.50 pounds per adult.
(At the back row, there are some friends who were talking during the explanation, so, they didn´t pick up everything that the guide said. So they start asking questions)
Tourist1: Sorry What is the castle used for today?
Tourist 2: When was Thomas Beckett murdered?
Tourist 1: What timeis the first drop- off?
Tourist 2: Who murdered him?

5.Complaints:A bad holiday

|A: |Good morning, can I help you? |
|B: |I'd like to make a complaint about my holiday in Hawaii last week. |
|A: |I'm sorry to hear that. Whatexactly was the problem? |
|B: |First of all the bus taking us to the hotel broke down and we had to wait for over two hours in the sweltering heat before a |
| |replacement arrived. Then when we got to the hotel we found our room hadn't been cleaned. |
|A: |Oh dear, did youcomplain to the hotel staff? |
|B: |Of course, but we were told all the chambermaids were off duty. Anyway, that's not all. The people in the room above sounded |
| |like they were having all-night parties, every night. I demanded another room but the receptionist told me the hotel was full. |
|A: |Oh, I see.|
|B: |And to cap it all the food in the hotel restaurant was awful. It was so bad we had to eat out all the time despite having paid |
| |for meals in the price of our holiday. |
