THE ROLE OF FAMILY AND SOCIETY IN THE LEARNING PROCESS
When we talk about the educational process we usually forget to talk about the role of family in this process. When you are a teacher you haveto learn to be many things, sometimes you become a doctor when your students are sick, you have to become an artist to make everything possible in order to allow your students to understand yourideas. But there is only one thing that you never will replace in your student’s life and that is the role of family.
In my every day activities as a teacher I could realize that most of the students whohave a low academic level are suffering from a difficult situation at their homes. They usually overcome from their parents breaking up or economical situations. Those situations affect directly theirstudent’s behavior and mood towards the learning process.
Another important fact is the society that is becoming another problem for kids, nowadays, in my experience as a teacher I know thatstudents have the world in their hands they are receiving every day a big quantity of information that is filling up their minds with things that are not so good for them. I am talking about the internet,the social networks, the TV and so on. That is creating children with no self-care and no happiness. They are worried about things that may not make sense for them at their ages.
In my teachingpracticum I have learnt that if we as teachers want to change something in the educational process we have to try hard to change our students mind about everything in the world, they have to acquire adifferent point of view about the world, if they have problems at home and they do not realize what the best way is, they are going to go by the wrong way.
Teaching a second language is a big goal for usand in my personal point of view; it is necessary to make a big change in the educational process, family play a main role in this situation and although parents do not live together may contribute...
