DATE: THURSDAY 19TH, AUGUST 2010
TOPIC: CONTAMINATIONCONTAMINATES (Words about Contamination and the Earth: planet earth, pollution, toxic smoke, contamination, throwing trash, ozone layer, global warming) (Verbs: To produce, to throw, to contaminate)(Commands: draw, color, write, think about).
Goal: Students will recognize how and why our planet is being contaminated by the human beings as a way to be conscious of the problem.
Achievements:Cognitive: Students will be able to recognize how and why the planet is contaminated.
Behavioral: Students will be able to talk about contamination in their own context as part of their learning process.Attitudinal: Students will be aware of the importance of being conscious about contamination in the planet and in their own context.

WARM UP.
How is your planet? • In this activity the teacher asks the students to talk about or describe the planet, how they see it how they feel it and how important is itfor them?
First the teacher does an example drawing the planet earth and describing it using some word the students will use in the following sections of the class.
Second the teacher writes anddraws on the board what is said by the students repeating the pronunciation of the new words for them to retain the information.
Finally the teacher recovers and summarizes the activity saying thewords to use them in the following activities. • The students tell the teacher how is the planet earth for them.
First the Students start with the activity writing the words they don't know jet anddrawing the iconic ideas of each word.
Second In this opportunity they are going to learn more vocabulary about nature, the kind of words required for the following activities.
