Leer uno de los libros que aparecen a continuación, de acuerdo a su gusto e interés personal.
Pueden adquirir los libros en cualquier librería del país.
Al regresar al Colegio en el mes de Agosto, los alumnos trabajarán sobre el contenido del libro leído.

9th Grade Summer Reading - English
This year's selection for summer reading is  a thriller by MalorieBlackman -
Naughts & Crosses (also titled Noughts & Crosses and Black & White).

In August upon your return, you will receive an assessment and assignments that will address plot summary, title analysis, character descriptions, vocabulary, themes or messages, a personal connection to the work, important quotes, and literary terms (conflict, metaphor, simile, idiom, and more). It is stronglyrecommended that as you read you keep in-depth notes that reflect more than mere plot summary. These notes are strictly for your benefit and will be neither collected nor graded but will help you be successful in this unit and other units that connect thematically throughout the year.
Naughts & Crosses can be purchased online through Amazon.com.  Many students currently in grade 9 own copies of the book soborrow or purchase it from them if you can.

Leer una de las siguientes obras: “La Cruz de los Templarios” o “Leyendas Españolas II” (pueden prestarla en la Oficina de Secundaria)
Realizar el siguiente trabajo:
1. Al final de cada parte o capítulo encontrará varias actividades a realizarde acuerdo al contenido de la lectura. Complete cada actividad, escribiendo a mano tanto instrucciones como preguntas y respuestas.
El trabajo debe realizarlo en hojas tamaño carta con líneas (Recuerde que debe ser escrito a mano, cuidando ortografía, redacción y caligrafía)
El trabajo debe entregarlo el primer día de clases, este debe estar identificado con nombre y sostenido con unagrapa.
2. En fecha posterior a la entrega del trabajo se hará una prueba escrita de comprobación y comprensión de lectura.

10th Grade Summer Reading - English
I am looking forward to our time together next school year. Before we officially meet however, we will be working together over the summer. I have selected two novels for you to read. This year’s 10thgrade class thoroughly enjoyed them, so I figured they would be great books for you to work into your summer plans. With summer reading the goal is that you continue to not only read, but interact with the novels and write about issues that we face. Your summer reading therefore has two components.

The first component:
• Find a copy of Night by Elie Weisel.
• Find a copy of Of Mice andMen by John Steinbeck.
• READ both books! This is the important part. (You may choose which novel to read first.)
The second component:
• You will need join your class wiki page at either:
http://cag10englishpreap.pbworks.com or http://cag10english.pbworks.com
• Look to the right side of the page and click “to join this work space request access” This is your firstassignment for next year. You should sign up ASAP!
• Your summer assignments will be posted on the wiki. You will be expected to read the information weekly and complete any assigned work before school commences in August.
• You will need to bring BOTH books and your summer work on the first day of school. This is not optional. You will be expected to have read, thought about and written on...
