Resumen
En la actualidad, el auge de latecnología ha cambiado la manera de llevar a cabo los negocios dentro de las empresas, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, sin importar su tamaño, recursos o finalidad. Por lo cual, se han implementado herramientas que ayudan a las empresas a mejorar sus actividades, un ERP es una de ellas, la cual, hace uso de la tecnología y de la innovación para centralizar la información de una entidaden una sola base de datos. El objetivo de la presente investigación, es conocer los aspectos generales de un Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) y cómo una empresa lo aplica en la vida cotidiana.
Dentro de la investigación, se estudió el inicio de tan útil software, que inició en los años 90´s, el ERP fue el encargado de desplazar a MRP, un software creado durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.Asimismo, se observó las diferentes características, que ayudan a entender un poco su implementación: un ERP es adaptable, universal, auditable, entre otras cosas. Igualmente, se señaló dos tipos de modelos de ERP utilizados en el mercado e indicó brevemente el proceso de implementación.
Un software de este tipo, crea beneficios, oportunidades, posee muchas ventajas. Sin embargo, en estetrabajo se investigó sobre los puntos en contra de este tema, es decir sus desventajas.
Como conclusión, la planificación de recursos empresariales, es decir, ERP es un tema muy importante que todas las empresas deberían conocer y empezar a evaluar su uso dentro de sus procesos y operaciones para mejorar sus negocios y reforzar su posición competitiva en el mercado.

Abstract
Nowadays, the technology boom has changed the way to carry out our business to the Enterprise, national as much as international regardless of its size, resources or finality. Therefore, it has implemented tools that help the enterprises to improve itsactivities; an ERP is one of them which do the use of technology and the innovation to centralize the entity information just in one data base. The objective of this research is to know the general aspects of one Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and how does it applies in the daily life.
In research, it studied the beginning of so useful software that started in the 90s centuries, the ERP wasresponsible for moving to MRP, software created during the Second World War. Furthermore it observed the different features that help to understand a little their implementation, one ERP is customizable, universal, and auditable, among others. Also, it noted two types of models of ERP used in the market and briefly indicated the implementation process.
This type of software creates benefits,opportunities, and possesses a lot of advantages, however, in this paper it investigated about points against this topic, its disadvantages
As conclusion, the enterprise resource planning is an important topic that every company should know and evaluate it uses in the process and operations to improve their business and bolster their competitive position in the market.
