ESSAY ABOUT E-TOURISM INITIATIVE ☮

The E-Tourism Initiative is a partnership that was launched as part of the working group on sustainable tourism development.

This partnership encompassesactivities in the areas of free and open source software, e-tourism, ICT policies, measurement electronics, ICT indicators and e-finance.

Was implemented to strengthen the capacity of developingcountries to promote their tourism products and integrate them into global demand.

The initiative focuses on the development and application of tools based on ICT's, to assist communities to exploitthe tourism market through the strengthening of institutions and human capacity.

This project is composed of the ministries of tourism, national tourism offices, destination managementorganizations, local tourism and other relevant stakeholders.

The program's objective is to design, create and establish a balanced market of electronic commerce for the identification, promotion andintegration of domestic suppliers of goods and services with respect to international business. Other objectives are to allow the destination countries to organize their tourism services, to develop newtourism products, improve the quality of its services and promote public-private partnerships to improve the competitiveness of the sector.

The E-Tourism Initiative offers business value for allstakeholders in the tourism industry:

For public institutions, through the acquisition and use of new information technologies.
