Choose a scene from the contemporary dance performance you went to see with your group and :
- Provide a clear description of the scene (asif you were doing this for someone who has not seen the same show as you)
- Provide an interpretation of the scene.


• I went to see the first show called “LES BALLETS JAZZ DE MONTREAL”,this show was divided in 3 small shows. In the first small show, the dancers were a woman and a guy, the floor was covered by a white carpet. I got the interpretation that the dancers were dancingtrying to demonstrate love in their moves, while there was a piano music playing.
• In the second small show, 10 dancers appeared to the scenery there were guys and woman’s, the scenery wasilluminated by a yellow light, when the show started they were talking and then they started dancing and a quite music started to play. My interpretation for this show was that the dancers were in a relationfight.

1) What is the difference between description and interpretation?


• Interpretation it’s to explain the meaning that you understand for something, likeit can be an art or a situation. Description it’s a representation of a person or an object. The Difference between these two words it’s that in the interpretation you have to explain what you thinkyou are seeing, and you aren’t going to know if the interpretation that you are explain it’s the real mining. And in the description there’s just one description and it’s the right one

2) Is italways easy to separate description from interpretation?

• No, because when you want to interpret something you have to describe what you are seeing or what you saw, one example can be the balletbecause you have to describe the dancer, the stage, to tell your interpretation.
