In 1979, about the same time as the Soviet Union deployed troops into Afghanistan, the UnitedStates began giving several hundred million dollars a year to the Afghan Mujahideen insurgents fighting the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan and the Soviet Army in Operation Cyclone. Along with nativeAfghan mujahideen were Muslim volunteers from other countries, popularly known as Afghan Arabs. The most famous of the Afghan Arabs was Osama bin Laden, Osama bin Laden woirk for the CIA for manyyears, but he “went out to form a terrorist group called AlQaeda against the United States”.
“ On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked fourairliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon justoutside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.” This was the idea President Bush and his government wanted to create to people of irak and United States, so UnitedStates can declare war to Irak and get their oil.
