Some individuals really show interest and disposition for the new language while others do it just as a job requirement. It is nowadays in certain companies an obligation to learn English in favor ofgreater economic openness in Colombia. However, this requirement sometimes does not promote a comfortable learning environment. It is just an imposed and mandatory need to even keep your position orto be able to get a promotion.
Their needs since they are professional adults are more focused on a business environment. So basically they need to use business-related jargon in meetings, socialgatherings and even small talk is part of that language exchange. In terms of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the goal is to achieve the highest level possible due to thenature of their professions (Engineers, Lawyers, Journalists, etc) But the ideal would be to achieve a C1 level, in order to be a proficient user of the language, in other words to communicateeffectively even about complex subjects. Of course this encompasses all the skills: Writing, listening, speaking and reading.
The teachers in this institution are dedicated to all aspects of education butprimarily the command and improvement of English and French as foreign languages.
National and International socioeconomic status, technologic advance, overseas education and/or the simplesatisfaction of being able to communicate with people from English or French speaking countries demand proficiency in a foreign language resulting in more promising future prospects for any individual who hasthe desire to learn and a commitment to study.
The main goal here is to help the students acquire communicative competence in English and/or French so that they can successfully interact in diversecontexts, both social and professional.

As far as the method is concerned, Communicative Language Teaching helps students create phrases with meaning rather than help them build grammatically...
