Introduction
The topic we will now present is about the influence that fast food has on the society. We can at the end discuss if Fast food is a hidden danger for society. But first what do we know about fast food and what do we mean with “fast food”?

Fast food is any food that is quick, convenient, and usually inexpensive. You can buy fast food just about anywhere that sells food and snacks.Vending machines and drive-thru restaurants are probably the most common places to find fast food. It's so popular because for under $5.00 you can usually get a meal that's satisfying. But fast food is inexpensive because it is usually made with cheaper ingredients such as high fat meat and foods that contain lots of unhealthy fats (saturated and trans fats) and cholesterol, instead of nutritiousfoods such as lean meats, fresh fruits, and vegetables.

The type of companies that sells food like hot-dog, hamburgers, French fries, chicken fried, etc are what we called fast food. But maybe you ask yourself is a sandwich bought in a Deli and consumed in 5 minutes also fast food? The answer is yes, but the preferences that the society has is for the fast food with brands like KFC, McDonalds,Burger King. And we will tell you now why is it so, because this Deli sandwich is more healthier and just as cheap as the hamburger but why the people insists on going to this type of establishments.

Schlosser (2001) the most vehement critic of the fast food system, agrees that
fast food, more specifically hamburgers, taste good. Yet Morgan and Murdoch
(2000) disagree as they regard fastfood from tasting good superficially since
they are technologically enhanced products dripping with fat, therefore could
by no means be tasty. Yet Sapala ( 2002) by establishing a parallel between
the fast food industry and that of tobacco, has come to the conclusion that we
may become addicted to fast food, its texture, taste and the sensation of
fullness after its ingestion. Nonetheless, whether it is the consumer’s
responsibility to watch what they eat or the retailers’ obligation to monitor the
healthiness of what they serve seems irrelevant when considered against the
backdrop of consumers power of perception. After all, fast food brands are
merely what the consumer perceive them to be.

Fast Food Chains
The fast food industry is perceived to be an American creation, but the‘fish-nchip’
format has prevailed in the UK since the eighteenth century as an outlet
where the working classes could easily purchase inexpensive prepared foods.

Nowadays is more likely to eat take away than a home made meal. This is because the society has change.

With the expansion of the road network and subsequently the motorcar industry producing affordable vehicles for the masses itwas possible to see the changes in lifestyle in the 1950’s that required adaptations of food provision. This was well captured by the first hamburger companies.

Quick to capture the changing nature of the business, the fast food industry
has also changed the face of the food chain in the last decades. Changes in
food presentation and preparation were derived from technological
improvementsthat facilitated the preservation of both uncooked and precooked
foods. The advent of the microwave helped with the rapid preparation of food.

People now doesn’t have time to cook their lunch because they work from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm and only have one hour to eat. That is why they preferred fast food because is warm, tasty and fast. For example now both parents have to work making this harderto pay attention to the children’s perception of fast food. They come home tired from work so they preferred making some frozen food than preparing a nice meal.

Another example is that young people like Santiago and me who are lazy and live alone eat frozen pizza, pasta and whatever is easy to make. It doesn’t have to be Burger King to be dangerous for the health, because this frozen food...
