FIRST PART

A-> The quote I chose by Cato is from Disticha Catonis, number 29 from the book II “Do not give up your fortitude when things go wrong; Keep up hope: hope alone does not desert man, noteven in death”. I chose this quote because it is so strong and powerful, it has a deep meaning. For me hope is not to pretend that problems do not exist but is the confidence of knowing that theseare not forever and somehow, the difficulties will be overcome. Also if something does not result as it is expected, at having hope and faith in God, our strength is not going anywhere, and if we arepatient something better and bigger will come (if one door closes two others will open). When we have goals, we need to accomplish them, if something goes wrong, we don’t have to give up or break down,we have to be strong and keep trying until we reach our goals. The fact of having hope brings us motivation to do things better and also it brings happiness to our souls avoiding us from the feelingof desperation and frustration.

B-> The quote I chose from Jenny Holzer is “calm is more conductive to creativity than is anxiety”. I agree with this quote, I feel indentified and I think everybodyfeels indentified. When people has the pressure to create something, the ideas just don’t come out, and as time goes by, the pressure turns into anxiety and desperation and those feelings keep ourmind closed. On the other hand, when we are doing something different, for example, taking a shower, washing the ditches, or trying to sleep, our mind opens and the best ideas come out and we weren’teven thinking about it. This situation can be good in some cases, when we are about to present something in the near future, or even the ideas can be useful if we have a problem or something. But alsohaving creative ideas when we are calmed is not good, when we come out later with something way better than the thing we have already done.
