Determine how Five Guys’ philosophy sets it apart from other fast-food chains.

The Five Guys mission statement, as simple as its menu, is aligned with the philosophy that if you're going to sell hamburgers and French fries in a restaurant industry that is crowded with hamburger-french-frieschains, you'd better do hamburgers and French fries better than anyone else. Simply stated, the mission statement of Five Guys Burgers and Fries is:

Five Guys goal is to sell the best quality burgers possible. To sell the best burger possible, we focus on Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.

Many customers have noticed a sign that hangs on the beverage machine at every Five Guys restaurant,which is sometimes referred to as a mission statement, but is really more of a Service Promise:

"You the customer are the most important visitor on our premises. "You are not dependent on us, we are dependent on you. You are not an outsider in our business you are a part of it. "We are not doing you a favor by serving you – you are doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so"(

Analyze the original values for the start-up company and how it remains strong today.

One of the things I love about Five Guys is the passion to do one thing and do it well. This is captured in the article’s description of how the brothers running the company fight about things like whether tomatoes should go on top of pickles, or pickles on top of tomatoes, and the arcanearguments in favor of each configuration. Five traditional values guys are doing things as best as possible and not increase the list of products they sell but can do things best, for them to maintain the quality that is fundamental and always inform the customer that their products are of excellent quality and the way the cook. Today the company values are maintained and we can see that establishmentsFive Guys are only sold hamburgers and fries, why? Because that's what they do best and your recipe has public acceptance and kept doing what they do best. They know that the shakes, for example, are not your specialty and why not sell milkshakes, only sell what they do well and so be able to compete with other businesses in the industry based on quality.

Enumerate three (3) factors thatcontributed to Five Guys’ success in such a short time and what effect, if any, external markets had on these factors.

Factors that have contributed to business success Five Guys in a short time are from my point of view the following:


One of the prerequisites for the customer who purchases a good or service is to know there and feel motivated to buy. To succeed, a company must beable to inform the right group of potential consumers of your product and give reasons why they should buy it. Marketing can take infinite forms, from a sign hung in a window on the front of a TV campaign across the country. Each company must find the most appropriate way of what they are selling. In the case of Five Guys, "We believe the best salesman we have is that the customer is right in frontof us," says Murrell. "If you treat it well, then he will come out and tell everyone about it. That's advertising for us." Jerry said this Murell, owner and patriarch of Five Guys.

Customer Service

While not giving customers what they want seems like a recipe for spectacular failure, Five Guys has served well since the early days. In this regard Five Guys has been innovative, they do notfollow an established rule of Great publicity, think that the best advertising is the attention you can give your customers in each restaurant, and they do not have a very varied menu, or make delivery.
