France: The perfect country to visit

France is a country of extraordinary beauty. It`s the largest country in Western Europe. It extends from the North Sea to the Mediterranean. The east and southof France are mountainous, in fact in the Alps is the highest peak in Western Europe, Mont Blanc with 4 810 meters. Among the most important rivers in France are: the Seine, the Loire and theGaronne. In addition of its exotic geography, France is the perfect place to visit for its amazing history, culture and tourist places.

The history of France is very comprehensive. It was founded by DukePharamond in the year 420. Among the most important historical facts there`s the Hundred Years War, between 1337 and 1453, starring France and England, where did the legendary figure of Joan of Arc.She led the French to victory over the British at the Battle of Orleans in 1429. Years later the French Revolution broke out. On July 14, 1789, in Paris, the French took the Bastille castle, symbol ofthe arbitrariness, to show they were against the monarchy. In 1792 came the first republic. Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette were executed for betrayal. In 1799, the military coup of NapoleonBonaparte regained political stability. In the twentieth century, France became part of the victorious nations of World War I, however, faced a severe economic crisis.

France is a country with a richand diverse culture. Has valuable customs, like gastronomy, the study of man's relationship with their food and their environment, emphasizing its cheeses and wines. Also, France is distinguished byits high fashion, and its tradition of excellence in all area. However, among the most important customs of the inhabitants of the country are attending theater, music and film. France being thebirthplace of cinema, its inhabitants love what the industry produces, especially if it`s of their national cinematography.
