NEWTON´S FIRST LAW: A body at rest remains at rest and a body in motion remains in uniform motion in a straight line, unless it suffers the action of an unbalanced force
NEWTON´S SECON LAW: Theacceleration of an objects is directly proportional to the magnitude of the force and inversely proportional to the mass a = F/m
NEWTON’S THIRD LAW: for every action force there must be an equal andopposite reaction force
WEIGHT: The gravitational attraction on a body by the Earth
Mass: The space an object takes.
NORMAL FORCE: The force on an object perpendicular to the surface it rests on.It should never be assumed to be equal to the weight!
FRICTION: Force that opposes to motion, caused by adhesion of one surface to another or by irregularities in the rubbing surfaces.
STATICFRICTION: The force that resists the initiation of sliding motion of one body over the other with which it is in contact.
KINETIC FRICTION: Friction applied to a moving object.
COEFFICIENT OF STATICFRICTION: the value of friction between different types of surfaces at rest or just about to move.
COEFFICIENT OF KINETIC FRICTION: the value of friction between different types of surfaces whilemoving.
EQUILIBRIUM: Resultant forces acting on an object must be balanced to keep object from moving or to keep uniform motion
ACCELEARTION: Motion in which the magnitude or direction changes with time.SPEED: Distance traveled per unit of time. Scalar quantity.
VELOCITY: Displacement traveled per unit of time. Vectorial quantity.
TERMINAL VELOCITY: When in free fall, friction force andgravitational force gain an equal value, the object stops accelerating and it begins to fall at a constant velocity.
INSTANTANEOUS SPEED: the velocity of an object at a certain time.
INSTANTANEOUSACCELERATION: how fast a velocity is changing at a specific instant.
GRAVITATIONAL ACCELERATION: the acceleration on an object caused by gravity.
INERTIA: Property of a particle that allows it to maintain a...
