From time immemorial, mankind has won the right to rule. Humanity exploited hunting as a way of surviving. It was the best way of fighting starvation without a fertile soil. Not only used forobtaining meat, hunting was useful as a plague control also. When certain species became a threat to human society, it was needed to deal with it. Being also thought of a kind of cruel act of violence,hunting is still a controversial topic.
There have always been hunters. It was, it is and it will be a way of feeding human population. One the main points in human diet is meat. From ancient timesmankind has managed to harvest food from agriculture and hunting. Still nowadays this order rules certain cultures. In Africa, numbers of tribes subsist thanks to animals they slay and eat.
Althoughslaying animals in order to eat them is a must for some factions in the world, it is also true that not hunting always has the sake of feeding people. There are other ways of obtaining food and fighthunger, such as agriculture. Some species of animals may become a threat to these other sources of food. And in order to maintain man on top of the food chain, they reduce the number of animals of a certainspecies.
It is undeniable that slaying animals in order to defend crops or directly eat them is a process of violence. The hunter takes the life of a living creature at will in order to benefit fromit. Man takes and exchanges creatures’ lives for food. But, is it any different from what these creatures do in first place? The food chain is clear; the big devour the small to survive. This regimehas been the rule of survival for all living creatures on Earth since the beginning of time.
