Salavarrieta Policarpa (Guaduas, January 26, 1795 - Santa Fe, November 14, 1817) 1 was a hero of the independence of Colombia, also known as La Pola, acted as a spy for theindependence forces shot and killed during the Reconquista in santafe Spanish.
The most popular version says she was born in Guaduas (Ontario) on January 26, 1795. [1] But none of this has been proven bylack of legal documents. Rafael Pombo said she was born in Mariquita and José Caicedo Rojas confirmed in Bogotá. In an effort to reconcile the different versions in the history books, the ColombianAcademy of History gave its final ruling in favor of the people of Guaduas., [2] which states that the Colombian Academy of History failed on the birthplace Policarpa the September 10, 1795.
