History of the United States of America

The history of the United States of America began with the British colonization of North America, starring British immigrants who founded, between theseventeenth and eighteenth Thirteen Colonies on the Atlantic coast of the North American continent, located east of the Appalachians, among the possessions French in Quebec and Louisiana.
After a peaceful development of the settlers, the wars against the French forced the creation of colonial corps, one of the first expressions of national identity. Later, encouraged by the ideas of the Frenchencyclopedists came the uprisings as the Boston Tea Party (1773). The English government crackdown led to the beginning of the War of Independence. The settlers formed an army that was put under the command of George Washington, who struggled to equip them with weapons and ammunition, besides not having a fleet to fight the British Empire, so they sought help from France, which fresh out of the SevenYears War and who agreed to help the British colonies in their independence.

The Plains Indians
The Plains Indians are all those tribes that inhabited the Great Plains (all of the land between the Rocky Mountains and the Mississippi River). The Indians quickly adapted and transformed into a nomadic civilization that followed the migratory routes of the American bison hunted for food. Whenwhites invaded and occupied the Great Plains in the nineteenth century, the Indians engaged in a bitter war of resistance that lasted from 1836 to 1918.

Precolonial America
It is believed that around 1000, a group of Vikings sailed from Greenland to the east of North America under the leadership of Leif Eriksson, arriving at a place they called Vinland. Five centuries later, the need to increasetrade and a navigational error led to a new encounter with the Americas. At the end of the fifteenth century in Europe was a great demand for spices, silks and dyes Asia.Colón thought he could reach the Far East by sailing westward 6,400 kilometers starting from Europe. In 1492 he sailed to the West but failed to Asia, but to the Caribbean, October 12, 1492. And within 60 years, the Spanishadventurers had conquered a huge empire in Central and South America. The Spanish also established some of the first American colonies: St. Augustine in Florida (1565), Santa Fe, New Mexico, (1609), and San Diego in California (1769).

History of the United States
(1776-1789).
The American Revolution began with minor tensions between lack of political representation norteaméricos settlers in theBritish Parliament and progressively intensified when Britain applied to tax the colonists to pay off the accumulated debt of the Seven Years War. The revolution ended the War of Independence that led to the proclamation of the United States of America.
The main cause of this conflict was the feeling of marginalization by the settlers, which provided wealth and taxes to the metropolis, whichincreased after 1765, the year of imposition of the Stamp Act, to defray the high costs England had led to the Seven Years War. The colonies believed their obligation to pay unfair taxes without representation in parliament in London. This situation made since the mid-eighteenth century increased the belief did not need the heavy reliance of England. The settlers called on the British government to allowthe colonies they had political representation in parliament, but these requests were denied repeatedly. "Taxation without representation" became the motto of the dissatisfied colonists.
