In the Single article on principles of effective teaching, she states that “studentsshould not only be able to imitate the teacher, but should also understand the principles being taught.” In your own words, explain what it means to understand something instead of just being able toimitate the teacher. Also, explain why it may be better for students to understand something rather than just imitate the teacher.

o understand why it is important to not just beable to imitate a model of a concept, but understand the concepts being taught
o use Bloom’s Taxonomy as a guide to developing teaching strategies that help students understand the concepts beingtaught
