MICE AND THE CAT ( text narrative)

A large family of mice lived in a mansion. Life was always kind to them because they alwayshad food in abundance,
especially in the kitchen.
But one day, the landlord brought a cat. Since then life of the mice was miserable.
The cat wandered day and night. The mice did not venture outof their dens because the cat was always lurking.
With the passage of time the mice were weaker and weaker because they are not venturing out of their burrows to find food.
Finally, an old mousesaid: "We can not continue like this or we die of hunger and thirst soon. We must find a way to take care of the cat. "

"Indeed, we must devise a plan," said another mouse. "Let us gather all themice tonight and see if we can think of something."

Then darkness fell. All mice had gathered at the usual place of meeting in the house.

The oldest mouse cleared his voice and said: "I'm surenone of us has been happy lately because of our common enemy, the cat."

All mice nodded.
The old mouse continued, "We must act together and think of a plan to get rid of the cat but one day wewill end up being your meal"
Some of the mice suggested killing the cat and everyone else seemed a good idea.
So the mice began to devise the best way to kill the cat. But as soon as someone othersproposed a plan they rejected because it was unworkable.
Finally, a young mouse said: "It may not be able to kill the cat but perhaps we can think of s
omething to know its whereabouts. Thus, whenwe know we'll have time to run "
The other mice applauded the proposal.
The young mouse continued, "I have a plan. It's really simple. All we have to do is hang a bell around the cat's neck. Whereto go sound.
If the bell is great we can even hear when the cat is coming before it is too close.
All the mice jumped for joy and applauded the idea.
