Como escribir la fecha en ingles


1. El mes siempre empieza con una mayúscula
January – enero February – febrero
March – marzo April – abril
May – mayo June – junio
July – julio August – agosto
September – septiembre October – octubre
November – noviembre December – diciembre

2. Los días de la semanasiempre empiezan con una mayúscula
Monday – lunes
Tuesday – martes
Wednesday – miércoles
Thursday – jueves
Friday – viernes
Saturday – sábado
Sunday – domingo

3. Los números de las fechas en inglés se escriben así:
1st
2nd
3rd
4th
5th etc. excepto 21st, 23rd y 31st

En inglés se utilizan los números ordinales (first, second, third, etc.) para expresar las fechas, a diferencia delespañol en que se emplean los números cardinales (uno, dos, tres, etc.).
Números Ordinales en Inglés
Números ordinales son números que se usan para describir un orden (como primero, segundo, tercero, etc.).  En inglés también usamos estos números para decir la fecha.

1) Para cambiar un número a un ordinal, generalmente nada más tienes que agregar las letras -th al final.
eleven -eleventh
2) Con los números que terminan en "y" (como twenty, thirty, forty, etc.), tienes que cambiar la "y" a "ieth."
twenty - twentieth
3) Con los números de dos dígitos o más (excepto los menores de veinte), nada más se cambia la última palabra a un ordinal.
21st - twenty first
32nd - thirty second
156 - one hundred and fifty sixth

El superíndice que se coloca a lado del número corresponde a las dos últimas letras de su nombre completo

Una vez conocidos todos los elementos que tenemos que saberpara escribir la fecha, vamos a explicar cómo se realiza:

1º.- Se escribe el día de la semana (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.)
2º.- Se escriben el día del mes acompañado por su correspondiente superíndice. (1ST, 2 ND, 23RD, etc.)
3º.- Se escribe el mes en el que nos encontramos. (january, february, etc.)
4º.- Se escribe el año.

Ejemplo:
Lunes 1 de enero de 2007: Monday, 1ST of Januaryof 2007

4. Hay varias maneras de escribir o decir la fecha en inglés:

• Se puede decir –

- Today is Tuesday the 15th of March 2011 (Hoy es Martes 15 de Marzo 2011) ó
- Today is the 15th of March (Hoy es el 15 de Marzo) ó March the 15th (El 15 de Marzo)

¡Ojo! Cuando decimos en inglés el número de la fecha (15th) se dice "the" pero no es correcto escribirlo.
