Overview
The ICEfaces Project Integration for NetBeans 6.5.1 provides theICEfaces framework as an extension of the JSF Frameworks for use in NetBeans Web Projects. The following functions are provided: 1. Create a new ICEfaces Web project. Configures required libraries and configuration files, changes the deployment descriptor and configures the IDE so you are ready for development.

The ICEfaces Project Integration plugin requires Netbeans 6.5.1.The ICEfaces Project Integration plugin depends on the ICEfaces Run-Time Libraries plugin. Please install the ICEfaces Run-Time Libraries plugin prior to installing the ICEfaces Project Integration plugin.

Installing the ICEfaces Project Integration
The ICEfaces Project Integration depends on the ICEfaces Run-Time Libraries plugin. Please install ICEfaces Run-Time Libraries plugin beforeproceeding with the following steps: 1. Download the “ICEfaces-x.x.x-Netbeans-6.5.1-modules.zip” file and save it locally. 2. Unzip the zip file to a directory and verify that the "org-icefaces-netbeans-modulesweb.framework.nbm" file exists in the directory. 3. Start NetBeans 6.5.1. 4. From the main menu, select Tools --> Plugins. 5. Select Downloaded (.nbm Files). 6. Click Add Plugins. 7. Click Add andthen browse to the directory where you saved the "org-icefaces-netbeansmodules-web.framework.nbm" file. 8. Select the file. 9. Select/check the Install checkbox. 10.Click Install to allow the installation. Note, please uninstall any previous versions of the ICEfaces Project Integration prior to installing this plugin.

Add the ICEfaces Framework to a new Web Project
Create a new Web Projectusing web frameworks. 1. Choose New Project --> Web --> Web Application. 2. In the Name and Location View, enter the Name and Location of the project. 3. In the Framework View, select ICEfaces (note that you should not select the JavaServer Faces or Visual JavaServer Faces frameworks when using ICEfaces, just ICEfaces).

4. Enter any desired parameters in the options dialog, including selectingthe ICEfaces Run-Time library version to use. 5. Click Finish.

Add the Facelets and ICEfaces Framework to a new Web Project
Create a new Web Project using web frameworks. 1. Choose New Project --> Web --> Web Application. 2. In the Name and Location View, enter the Name and Location of the project. 3. In the Framework View, select ICEfaces and Facelets (note that you should already installedFacelets module from Update Center). 4. Enter any desired parameters in the options dialog, including selecting the ICEfaces Run-Time library version to use. 5. Click Finish.

Uninstalling the ICEfaces Project Integration
1. 2. 3. 4. From menu bar, select Tools --> Plugins --> Installed. Locate the plugin called ICEfaces Project Integration. Select/check the ICEfaces Project Integration plugin.Click the Uninstall button.

Upgrading from a previous ICEfaces Integration
1. From menu bar, select Tools --> Plugins --> Installed → select ICEfaces Project Integration and ICEfaces Run-Time Libraries → uninstall 2. install the new ICEfaces Integration Note: Existing projects must be closed prior to upgrading. Once the new integration is installed you may need to resolve any missing libraryreferences in your projects.
