En esta nueva era la capacidad intelectual ya no es el único requisito indispensable y necesario para triunfar en el ámbito laboral y en la vida, al contrario, se ha considerado un nuevo concepto completamente innovador que manifiesta que la inteligencia emocional tiene más importancia incluso que los propios conocimientos, pues nos permiten no sólo tener el control total sobrenuestras emociones, si no también tolerar presiones, superar obstáculos, comprender los sentimientos de los demás, enfrentar contratiempos, y ver las dificultades bajo una óptica diferente, llena de optimismo, esperanza y excelente actitud empática y social que nos proporcionará un equilibrio interno, bienestar en nuestro entorno y el éxito en todo lo que nos propongamos. Sobre todo para un licenciadoen estudios internacionales este tipo de inteligencia es vital para lograr un excelente desempeño en el área de trabajo en donde sólo los estudios no bastan.

SUMMARY
In this new age, intellectual ability is no longer the only and necessary prerequisite for success in the workplace and in life, in contrast, has been considered acompletely innovative new concept that shows us that emotional intelligence is more important than knowledge, because they allow us not only to have total control over our emotions, but also tolerate pressures, overcoming obstacles, understanding the feelings of others, and see the difficulties in a different point of view, full of optimism, hope and a social attitude that will provide us an internalbalance, well in our environment and success in everything that we propose. Especially for a professional in international studies this type of intelligence is vital to achieve an excellent performance in the work area where studies are not enough.
