CHAPTER 10.
Nowadays, we live in a world where negotiations between companies involve people from different countries and cultures. This chapter explains 3different steps that companies should use when making intercultural negotiations. First of all, the book talks about preparation. Before a meeting, both companies should prepare the main topics of thereunion, in order to keep the meeting interesting and focused. Then they will have to choose a team that will have to be prepared and will have to understand the context and the topics of themeeting. In this step it is important that the team knows all about the people in the reunion (Country, habits, language) in order to avoid mistakes that could ruin the entire business. The last step talksabout the importance of knowing the culture of the guests, this will allow hostess know which is the best way to build relationships with the others and how they have to behave in front of them.Investigate on Avery Dennison Global and Fasson Colombia. What do the companies produce?

FASSON COLOMBIA: It’s the representation of AVERY DENNISON GLOBAL in Colombia, their vision is to be the leader in the market of packing and labels in Colombia, Center America andthe Andean Region.
In which countries are they represented?
AVERY DENNISON GLOBAL has offices worldwide, they have presence in North America, Asia, Europe and South America between others. As wehave talked in class North America, Korea, Japan and some countries of Europe are low context countries or cultures, while South America and China are high context countries.
