The Jewish Civilization
Judaism has existed for more than 3000 years. The father of this civilization is Abraham; but some other important Jews such as Moses, David,Solomon, and Abraham. It means that it is one of the oldest religions.
Monotheism
Monotheism is the believed and worship in only one God. The Jews believed in monotheism, unlike other civilizations inpolytheism. Polytheism in the worship and believed in many Gods. Some attributes that the Jews assigned to God where:
*God is the only creator of all things, meaning the whole universe.
*God is theonly ruler of all things.
*God is the only being serving of worship.
Laws “Torah”
The Torah means instruction of law. This was made by Moses. It´s divided into 5 sections: Exodus, Genesis,Numbers, Levitas and Decteronomy. The Torah contains many things, such as: Allegories , poetry, genealogy and different Types of law.
Psalms
The psalms all together make up a book of the Hebrew Biblethat has approximately 150 poems that express how the Israel´s religion manifests their faith. Psalms are a post-Exilic collection of poems, the work of several authors from differing dates. Psalmsare used extensively in worship and pray. But the original idea was to teach, explain, encourage, and
communicate with the individual listeners as well as the entire people.
Covenant
The Covenantis an agreement or deal between God and his people, in this case the Jews. If the Jews rejected this covenant there would be no protection from God and they will be at the mercy of bigger empires.Kings and Prophets
Kings:
*David: was the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel.
-Solomon
*Was the builder of the first temple in Jerusalem and portrays him as great in wisdom and wealth.-Abraham:
*He is the founding patriarch of the Israelites.
*He was sent by god, form his name in hoeah to take possession of the land of Canaan.
*He is said to died at the age of 175 years....
