LA ODONTOLOGIA
La odontología o estomatología es una rama de las ciencias de la salud que se encarga del diagnóstico, tratamiento y prevención de las enfermedades del aparato estomatognático (que incluye los dientes, las encías, la lengua, el paladar, la mucosa oral, las glándulas salivales y otras estructuras anatómicas implicadas como los labios, las amígdalas, la orofaringe y la articulacióntemporomandibular).
Dentistry or stomatology is a branch of health science that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the oral cavity (including the teeth, gums, tongue, palate, oral mucosa, salivary glands and other anatomical structures involved such as the lips, tonsils, oropharynx and temporomandibular joint).
decidi estudiar odontologia ya que siento que es mivocacion, me gusta, estoy familiarizada con las materias que dan, ademas es una buena carrera, muy hermosa y que me brindara mucho conocimiento y experiencia a lo largo de mi vida.

El Programa de Odontología tiene como misión formarun profesional capacitado y cualificado en salud oral en los campos científico, investigativo, social y humanístico; enmarcado en valores de justicia, ética y tolerancia orientado para que participe activamente en la solución de problemas de la región y el país atendiendo el contexto espiritual del individuo, su familia y la comunidad.

Ser la principal alternativa para elindividuo y la sociedad, que brinde soluciones a los problemas de él, la familia y la comunidad, en salud oral propiciando el bienestar integral de los mismos en la región Caribe y el País.
OBJETIVOS - Subir
Formar odontólogos integrales desarrollando los dominios del saber, cognitivo, sicomotor, afectivo y de esta forma promocionar, prevenir, diagnosticar y tratar enfermedades orobucales delindividuo, la familia y la comunidad.
Fomentar el espíritu investigativo y divulgar los resultados local, regional, nacional e internacionalmente para de esta forma ubicarnos en el ámbito internacional.
Propiciar el intercambio científico, tecnológico y cultural que garantice la capacitación y actualización del docente, estudiante y egresado.
Liderar procesos sociales, políticos,culturales, científicos y tecnológicos que se proyecten en beneficio de la comunidad y su entorno.
Capacitar odontólogos que participen activamente en la construcción de una comunidad amparada en principios éticos, de justicia y tolerancia que conduzcan el bienestar integral de la comunidad.
