During the 60's, racism changed a lot in a many ways in US from what had happened in the first half of the twentieth century. Changes involved the passage of bills into laws and involved the overallattitude of the people. Racism basically based on white people's hate towards black people until the 60's, when several events increased animosity both from whites towards blacks and from blackstowards whites. One of the most important events was the attack on the Freedom Riders that was a group of black and white citizens who rode busses across the south in order to test laws enforcingsegregation in public facilities.
