Le Petit Nicolas

The protagonist is Ebenezer Scrooge, a greedy and stingy person who does not celebrate the holiday of Christmas because of his solitary life and his addiction to the work. There matter for himneither the others, nor even his self-sacrificing employee Bob Cratchit, only it is imported to yes same. One day, in his house, Scrooge receives the visit of a mysterious spirit that he turns out to be athat of his best friend and partner Jacob Marley, who on having initiated the statement dies and later, announces a dark prophecy brings over of the future of the greedy one and the arrival of threespirits of the navidad. Scrooge does not scare and defies the prediction.

With the time three Christmas spirits appear: that of the Past, which makes him remember to Scrooge his infantile andjuvenile life full of melancholy and nostalgia before his addiction for the work; as well as for his excessive zeal to prosper. It makes that of the Present see the greedy one the current situation of thefamily of his employee Bob Cratchit, who in spite of his poverty and the disease of his son Tim, celebrates the navidad. Ultimately the spirit shows to a children'scouple of tragically human origin: the Ignorance and the Need; later the spirit disappears immediately to the midnight.
The Spirit of the Future, mute and of shaded character, shows him the mostheart-breaking thing: the destination of the greedy ones: his house plundered by the poor, the sober recollection of his friends of the Stock exchange, Tim Cratchit's death and the most frightful thing: hisown tomb, before which Scrooge is horrified finally and tries to convince to the spirit that it is ready to change if he invests the destination.
