Aim:
To say and write what one can/can´t doTo produce sentences

1. I Can Do Anything

The teacher will hand out to the students a copy of the song “I can do Anything!” and will play it. Afterlistening to it twice, the teacher will ask students to sing the song.

2. Action Boy

After singing the song, the teacher will hand out to the students a comicstrip. They will be given time to read it for themselves and then, randomly, some student will be picked to read it out loud.


3. What Can He Do?

Theteacher will ask students to highlight/underline the things the toy can/cannot do and to write with the teacher’s help complete sentences. i.e “Clever boy can run” “Cleverboy can’t talk”

4. What Can She Do?

The teacher will stick on the board pictures of a girl performing actions, for those she can do, the pictures will havea tick on the corner, for those she can’t they will have a cross. Both students and teacher will produce sentences related to those pictures. After that, the teacherwill hand out to the student copies of this pictures with sentences to complete.

5. What Can I Do?

The teacher will encourage children to help him to write theformulae for making sentences with can/can’t, leading them to write on their copybooks that in order to make such sentences they will have to write a subject followedby can plus the verb they want to use without changes. After that, students will be asked to write on their copybooks sentences about the things they can/cannot do.
