STARTING THE CLASS:
Step1-The teacher greets students and ask one of them to write the date on the board.
Step2- Let’s count from 1 to 10. How many flashcards do I have here? Raise your hands with… 3/9/2 fingers!PRESENTATION: FRUITS
Step1- Hang the poster on the blackboard and write each fruit’s name. Play the CD where a man reads all the words. Then ask the students to repeat slowly.
Step2- Checkunderstanding: Divide the class into 4 groups and ask them read what they see on the poster.
Step3- Show them the flash cards while the teacher reads each one to them.
PRACTICE: FRUITS FLASHCARDS –POINT TO THE WORD!
GAME: Spread the flashcards around the classroom’s walls and say in aloud voice a fruit. One participant per group (selected by his/her own group) is going to stand up in the centerof the classroom and has to run up to the flashcard they have heard quickly. ‘Point to the Apple!’ The teacher is going to say which group pointed the flashcard first and that group is going to have1POINT. The group which has received more points is the winner.
RECYCLING: NUMBERS FROM 1 TO 10
Once the game has finished, ask students to say ‘how many bananas, oranges, pears, grapes, etc,does the poster have?’
FINISHING THE CLASS:
Step1- Review of the vocabulary. Read again the words combining the vocabulary of fruits with numbers.
Step2- Put your things away.
