1. INTRODUCTION

Nowadays the knowledge of a foreign language isimportant in society due to the need to communicate with other cultures that are culturally and economically dominant. As a result, it is necessary to learn a language that opens the doors to other cultures and mainly to have the access to the industrialized countries, as is the case of the English language. For this reason, this research project focuses on the English learning process with the purposeto of improving an important aspect in a specific population: listening comprehension.

In addition, this proposal pretends to put in practice an innovated aspect in the current society, but generally in the academic field, the use of ICTs. The use of technological advances let people have contact with much information around the world. Hence, the implementation of new technologies into theLanguage classrooms is a strategy that allows the learning process to make use of modern tools that aid language learning an updated way to learn the language.

Furthermore, according to the problematic presented in the population of study, it is necessary to improve their listening comprehension due to the lack of significant exercises that develop this aspect. Besides, students are reluctantto do listening exercises and they do not complete the exercises or pay the necessary attention to the audio texts presented. Therefore, it is necessary to use a strategy such as ICTs that are attractive for students so that they can feel involved in tools that are familiar with their daily life, and at the same time, intrinsically they can develop their listening comprehension.
