Drillingwith large diameter tube eliminates the need to scale down conventional drill column, which then must be removed to install the permanent casing. In addition, decreases the problems of lost circulation,improves well control and reduces production time non-productive team, decreasing at the same time and risk of the occurrence of unplanned deviations or clogging of the pipes. Fewer trips into and outof the well, security positioning, increased efficiency and lower costs in the construction of wells.

The use of casing drilling is an emerging technology that allows for lowering the costs ofwell construction improve operational efficiency and safety and minimize environmental impact. This technique uses the tubular drilling large diameter will remain installed permanently in the well,rather than the conventional drill string. The economic requirements of the complex geologic settings, many smaller sites with limited recoverable reserves and the need to optimize the development andexploitation of mature fields make drilling with casing prove increasingly attractive for companies operators.

The new compact drilling rigs for drilling with casing require less power, use less fuel,produce fewer emissions, operating from smaller surface locations and can be transported more quickly and easier than conventional rigs larger.
